Hmm, something about that title isn't quite right...
But, like it or not, spring is in full bloom. These are the earliest of our tulips, and they opened up on the first day of spring, March 20.
The bank bed on March 16, much further along almost a week later, but I took this photo mainly to document that I completed my spring clean up, including trimming all of the butterfly bushes, in about four hours. That is some serious progress compared to a few years ago when the same task would have taken me two weeks. Three cheers for perennials and for mulch!
And I will leave you with another undeniable sign of spring. The
spring peepers have been making some kind of racket every evening for several weeks now. Tuesday night I spotted this one on our back door window. I love how the first picture makes it look like he is suspended in the air.
