A reminder that it is still winter
Another snowy Monday and another delay on the barn project. That's just the way it goes. Putting the metal on the roof was postponed due to the nearly 6 inches of snow we had Monday morning. The guys showed up this morning and started working, only to discover that the metal was not right. The only metal that was green was the trim. All of the roof metal somehow was ordered in the wall color and had to be reordered. It should be in by the end of the week. They did have a full day's work on other metal, so hopefully this won't set us back too much. For future reference, the roof metal is hunter green and the walls are light stone. I did get a few nice photos of the daffodils in the snow after it had melted a bit; a pretty scene that inspired the title of this post. The forecast is for very nice weather the rest of the week, so here's hoping for finishing up of shearing and roofing.
