Baking, and not in a good way

At 7 p.m. today it was still 99 degrees in the shade (sadly I can't say that withough having an old Bon Jovi song start playing in my head). The high today was near 104. Parched. Brittle. Brown. Burnt up. Rolled up. We really could use some rain.
